Letter To Birth Mothers

Hello Friend!

You are looking through many adoption profiles and have happened to stumble across Amber and Jordan's profile. If you choose them you have made a fantastic choice! Please allow me to take a moment to tell you about how wonderful they are!

First, let me start out saying, I understand how difficult the decision to create an adoption plan for your child is. I made one for my daughter, Olivia and I have not regretted my decision since the day I made such a plan. My situation was a little different. I did not know I was pregnant and gave birth to Olivia at home. I kept her birth and adoption a secret from a lot of people, my family included, for a while. Amber and Jordan respected that decision. When I was ready to tell my family, my parents wanted to meet Amber and Jordan. They put my parent's fears of potentially having a closed adoption later on down the road with ease. After Amber in Jordan first met my parents, my mother turned to me and said "They are great people! I like them!"

I found Amber and Jordan's profile after Olivia was born. In under 24 hours, I had a face-to-face with Amber and Jordan, announced I had picked them and place Olivia in their arms. Jordan, being a first time dad he became emotional the minute she was in his arms. He adores her and even called her "angel." I knew after the face-to-face that Amber and Jordan were the perfect parents to raise Olivia.

They have kept all of their adoption promises. I see Olivia at least once a month, sometimes more! I get videos and pictures often and they keep me up to date on big milestone! I even go to see Olivia take some of her first steps! They have accepted my family too! They come to family events such as birthdays and trips to the water park! We celebrate Christmas as a family a few days prior to Christmas too! I can tell they love and adore Olivia. She is such a happy little girl!

One memory I have that made me realize just how amazing Amber and Jordan are ( as if I needed one since they were awesome before this moment) came at a difficult time. I remember have a discussion with them and said something about my daughter. I corrected myself and said "Sorry, I meant your daughter." Jordan immediately said "She's our daughter, your daughter and our daughter!"

Jordan and Amber and Jordan have terrific family members too! They have welcomed me as a part of Olivia's life with open arms. They have told me many times they consider me family. I am told often by both their families I have thought of. If you pick Amber and Jordan for your child, that child will be showered with love from you, your family and Amber and Jordan's families! I can you say that they will love you too!
I never imagined an adoptive couple wanting such an open adoption but Amber and Jordan are fantastic with the openness. Whenever I needed it to see Olivia, they were so kind to set up a meeting. Amber has often told me it never hurts to have so many people love Olivia. I am happy knowing she will know the love I have for her, the love her birth family has for her, and I love her current family has for her too!

You are wonderful! Your decisions with impact many lives. I hope you know how much love your baby will receive from Amber and Jordan and how much you will be valued by them! Olivia will be a great big sister!

With sincerest love,

Kristen, Olivia's Birth Mother

Olivia's Photo Shoot

Today Amber and Olivia went to Olivia's first doctors appointment but I had to work. Our beautiful little girl is quickly on her way to catching up with all of the other babies born at the same time. When she was born, she was in the 3rd percentile weighing 5lbs 13 oz. Today she weighed in at 7 pounds  9 ounces! She is in the 25th percentile! That's quite a change in only two weeks. My favorite part is where she is at for height. Olivia is 21.5 inches long (over an inch and a half longer than she was at birth) and in the 93rd percentile!
